The hosts were most pleasant, accommodating and full of humour and attentiveness. The whole decor was beyond tasteful, with themed guest rooms suited to anyone's whimsical interests. Breakfast was a full fry-up with the best cup of locally roasted java ever to start the day. Thank you Michael and Peter for a wonderful, and welcoming experience. We will most definitely return! "A girl's weekend away from the city is meant for relaxing, connecting and experiencing something new. Two nights at the Grandville Affair delivered on all three! The rooms and house are spacious and comfortable. The hosts provide the perfect amount of hospitality alongside amazing food (the eggs benedict and seafood chowder were possibly the best I've ever had). As hosts, Peter and Michael are fantastic ambassadors for the area providing many options for activities, with zero pressure to actually do any of them. My girlfriends and I will definitely return for a future visit."

It is a beautiful old home set within steps from fascinating places and eating spots. The house itself just welcomes you as do the delightful hosts. The ground floor is inviting and interesting and entertaining! So are all the character bedrooms upstairs. Each one has fascinating things to see and, everything you need. Each room tells a story. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

"The perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle, and recharge! After attending the soft launch in the fall, I shared my infatuation with the Granville Affair with dear friends. We decided to kick off 2026 with a girls’ weekend getaway. From the scrumptious meals created from locally-sourced ingredients to curated activity options in support of local businesses, Peter and Michael, you are exemplifying, “NS Loyal”. I don’t know if I have ever had a more delicious seafood chowder or hollandaise! Thank you for sharing your inviting, comfy and spotless home, sprinkled with your zest for life!

We had a fabulous girls’ weekend away at The Granville Affair in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Hosts Michael and Peter were absolutely wonderful and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped inside. They truly treated us like family. The home itself was warm and inviting, with lots of beautiful local art to enjoy. The rooms were spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved that each room had its own en suite. The food was outstanding and highlighted local ingredients. The seafood chowder was so delicious it would make you cry! Even though it was January, our hosts had plenty of suggestions and options for exploring the town. We chose to visit a local winery that opened just for us for a private tasting, which turned out to be a very special experience with lovely owners and delicious products. I am very much looking forward to returning for another truly unforgettable experience.

William and I recently stayed at the Granville Affair Bed & Breakfast, and it was one of the best bed and breakfast experiences we have ever had...The entrance way was inviting and exciting with paintings and ornaments.
Our room was spotless. It was bright and spacious. The quiet privacy was much needed. The bed was so comfortable that we had the best sleep in a long time. The ensuite bathroom was superior and spotless.
Michael and Peter hosted a healthy, delicious breakfast the next morning...Their hospitality shows the love they have for ensuring customer satisfaction. Peter and Michael have put so much love and time into setting up the Granville Affair and I look forward to returning to see the improvements they have in plan for the outside area.
